Oil-free doesn’t mean dry or clean. You’ll still need the right dryer and filters, so send us your air quality spec.
Replacing a 50 HP compressor?
The CPCg 50 is fixed speed; the CPVS 50 PM is variable speed. Chicago Pneumatic rates the CPCg 50 at 240 CFM at 100 PSI and 219 CFM at 125 PSI reference working pressure. Compare the air it delivers at the pressure your plant runs, and check your voltage, controls and dryer size too.
Powerex oil-less compressors
We’re an authorized Powerex industrial equipment distributor for California, Nevada and Arizona, selling to businesses, contractors and public agencies. We can quote the equipment only, or installed.
Four styles
- Enclosed scroll. Scroll compressors in a cabinet, one pump or several. The cabinet helps with noise; check the model’s sound and ventilation specs for your room.
- Tank-mounted scroll. Scroll pumps on an air tank in one compact package. We look at tank size, run time, pressure and how often it starts.
- Base-mounted scroll. For when the tank, dryer and controls are separate pieces. We confirm how it all connects.
- Oil-less piston. Reciprocating units, compared against the scroll models on specs, pressure, run time and tank setup.

A good compressor only performs as well as the dryer, tank and piping after it. We quote them with the compressor or on their own.

Do you sell equipment, or only service it?
Both. We sell it, install it and service it, so one company handles the equipment and the maintenance. We’re factory authorized for Chicago Pneumatic, Powerex, Pneumatech, Mark Compressors and Donaldson.

How do I know what size air compressor I need?
Go by total air demand, how long it runs and the pressure your equipment needs, not horsepower. Adding up every tool’s rating oversizes it; ignoring tools that run at the same time undersizes it. Use our air compressor sizing guide, or we can do a system assessment on site.

Can you replace a compressor from a brand you do not carry?
Yes, often. We service all major brands and replace older units with Chicago Pneumatic, Pneumatech or Mark equivalents. Call (844) 310-8665 and we’ll match the spec.

Does oil-less mean no dryer or filtration is required?
No. Oil-less keeps compressor oil out of the air, but you may still need a dryer and filters. That depends on moisture, dirt, your equipment and the air quality you need, including dew point.
