Reading the table: T4F is EPA Tier 4 Final. The CPS 175 is Tier 3, which matters if your site or contract calls for a certain tier. AC+WS means it has an aftercooler and water separator. MP means multi-pressure. Source: Chicago Pneumatic US price list, April 2026.
There are more factory-order and stock versions than the table shows, including CPS 650 and CPS 900 variants. Ask us what can be built and what’s in stock.
The pressure in a model name is one setting, not the limit. Every machine in the table can be adjusted across a range. If you only compare the number in the name, you may buy a bigger machine than the job needs.
A CPS 110 is sold as a 100 PSI machine, but it adjusts from 58 to 125 PSI. A CPS 750-200 runs anywhere from 78 to 200 PSI in 2 PSI steps. If your job needs 125 PSI, you may not need the next model up.
A CPS 400-150 gives 400 CFM at 100 PSI but 375 CFM at 150 PSI. Size the machine for the pressure you’ll actually run, not the biggest number on the sheet.
Most of the range is EPA Tier 4 Final. The CPS 175 is Tier 3. On public work, or if your contract names an emissions tier, that can rule a machine in or out before anything else.
Running several tools? Adding up each tool’s rating can make you buy too big or too small. Our air compressor sizing guide shows how to work it out.
A portable diesel gives you air where there’s no power. Here’s what our customers use them for.
Steady, high-volume air for blasting, coating removal and surface prep on structures and equipment.
Air for breakers, tampers and other air tools on roadwork, demolition and construction sites.
High pressure air for pipeline work, drilling and other jobs that need more than normal shop pressure.
Towable air for utility crews and plant shutdowns when you need air for a few days or weeks.
What size portable diesel air compressor do I need?
It depends on your tools and the pressure they need. Chicago Pneumatic portables run from 95 to 1600 CFM, mostly at 100 to 200 PSI, with high pressure models up to 508 PSI. Tell us the job, like sandblasting, breakers or drilling, and we’ll size it for you. Call (844) 310-8665.
How much CFM do I need for sandblasting?
Sandblasting uses a lot of air, and how much depends on nozzle size and pressure. Small nozzles can run on the compact class (95 to 180 CFM). Larger nozzles and all-day blasting need the mid range (238 to 400 CFM) or bigger. Tell us your nozzle size and how long you blast and we’ll match the compressor. See our air compressor sizing guide for more.
Are these diesel or electric compressors?
They’re diesel. The engine make depends on the model and version, and the range uses several makes. We confirm the engine, emissions setup and parts support for the exact unit we quote.
Do you deliver portable compressors?
Yes, across Southern California and the Las Vegas metro. Tell us the model and your site and we’ll confirm availability and delivery.
Do you sell or rent these compressors?
We sell them. We’re an authorized Chicago Pneumatic distributor, so you own the machine. We don’t rent.
Tell us the CFM, the pressure or the job and we’ll follow up within one business day with the right model, pricing and availability. Call (844) 310-8665.
